- ➤ Clarksville's Bikers Who Care held the 44th Annual Leslie W. Watson Memorial Toy Run where riders delivered Christmas toys to families in need. Riders gathered at Budweiser of Clarksville (arriving before 11:00 a.m.) and took a circuitous route ending at Appleton Harley Davidson where Santa led the ride (joined by Mia Golden) amid live music and food trucks. - ➤ A University of Tennessee Extension study shows that Thanksgiving dinner for a family of 10 will cost $128.50—10.5% more than last year & turkey prices have risen as a bird flu outbreak killed over two million birds. County educators surveyed prices for 22 key ingredients from Oct. 16 to Nov. 1 to compile the data. WKRN
- ➤ Tennessee gas prices fell four cents ahead of Thanksgiving travel week, with the state’s average now at $2.64 per gallon+the price is one penny higher than last month but seven cents lower than at last Thanksgiving. - ➤ Students from Austin Peay State University College of Arts and Letters received CECA Transformative Student Experience Grants and used the support to work on projects like writing a historical novel in England, creating an original animation, and training in dance with Drum Corps International—each project providing hands-on experience in art, creative writing, music, and theatre and dance. - ➤ Montreze Smith Jr., a redshirt freshman linebacker at Austin Peay, was named one of 25 finalists for the 2025 Jerry Rice Award on Monday.
