Peas in a Pod, founded by Sarah Kanervo-Jackman and McKayah Clayton, offers fun activities for six adults with special needs Monday–Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The program uses a bus for outings (to parks, restaurants, and sign language classes) and seeks donations for upkeep.

Austin Peay State University has received a $100K NCAA grant to add 63 laptops to its loaner program on campus, helping student-athletes gain better academic support without personal computers.
