- ➤ On Thursday, Dec. 11, History on the Rocks returns at Beachaven Downtown as Second & Commerce partners with the Customs House Museum to host local contributors discussing art, history and culture from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Franklin Street with food and drinks available for purchase. - ➤ The APSU Board of Trustees approved naming the campus food pantry as the Millan Foundation Impact Center on Friday, Dec. 5 — the move will expand services to support 35% more students and families with fresh, nutritious food. ClarksvilleNow.com
- ➤ APSU exceeded its GOVing Tuesday goals by fully funding all 17 projects and raising an extra $12,000—$75,670.36 in total—by Dec. 2. University leaders say the funds will support academics, athletics and student services that benefit ongoing campus efforts. ClarksvilleNow.com
- ➤ Kenwood High School JROTC Raiders won the 2025 national championship at the All-Service Raider Nationals in Melena, GA. The team earned first-place trophies in the physical team test and 4K team run and was honored by local officials at a special presentation. Main Street Clarksville
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ APSU track and field earned nine top-10 finishes at the Winter Commodore Challenge on Saturday at David Williams II Recreation and Wellness Center—standout throws and runs marked the first indoor meet. The team will return to Nashville for the Vanderbilt Invitational Jan. 16-17. Clarksville Online
- ➤ Clarksville will host the Tennessee East-West All-Star Classic at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 at Fortera Stadium on the Austin Peay campus. Nearly 100 high school players from over 60 schools will arrive on Wed., Dec. 10 for daily practice as college coaches and cheerleaders prepare to join the game. WKRN
- ➤ Tennessee football will face Illinois in the Music City Bowl on Dec. 30 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. The game will feature quarterbacks Joey Aguilar and Luke Altmyer along with NFL-bound edge rushers (targeting the 2026 NFL Draft). The Leaf Chronicle
