- ➤ Local rescues are showcasing pets of the week with available dogs and cats from several agencies, including Montgomery County Animal Care and Control, for adoption, fostering and donations. - ➤ Montgomery County will host its New Year’s Eve Party at Downtown Commons (215 Legion St) on Dec. 31 at 9 p.m. The event will feature live music, food trucks, drone shows by APSU Animation students, and a balloon drop in red, white, and black; reserved parking affects a few lots. - ➤ The Rotary Club has supported community projects in Clarksville by sponsoring parks, scholarships and local programs, including Rotary Park and the International Avenue of Flags along Riverside Drive. - ➤ This month, Dunkin’ in Clarksville received $10,000 from the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation to provide nutritious food and 500 toys for over 60 children in 30 families through its Love at its Core Program. - ➤ APSU’s Eriksson College of Education hosted its first Aspiring Teachers Day in Clarksville by inviting over 100 high school students to join hands-on teaching activities and campus tours, helping them gain insights into dual enrollment and setting the stage for a Fall 2026 return.
