- ➤ Kirkwood High student Elijah Fuller was named Best Student Volunteer in the Tennessean Student of the Week poll on Dec. 19 with 50.39% of the vote. He also serves on the CMCSS Board of Education and is active in sports and school activities that support his peers. The Leaf Chronicle
- ➤ CMCSS School Board enforced a new cellphone policy this school year to ban devices during class and hallways, leading to 1,400 infractions mostly at high schools — teachers and parents welcomed fewer distractions while students complained the rules limited music and quick texts.
