- ➤ The 25th Annual Jumper’s Cup at Clarksville Country Club brought Taylor Capouch and Kelly Gibson together to raise funds for the Kelly Gibson Foundation. - ➤ Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons was named Week 17’s NFL Players Association Community MVP for his local youth outreach, which included events like helping high school seniors get custom-tailored suits (a second honor after 2023). - ➤ Two structure fires forced three families in Clarksville to leave their homes during the week of Christmas; the first fire hit Greystone Townhomes on Union Hall Road Sunday, Dec. 21, and on Christmas Eve a home on Tobacco Road sustained damage with the American Red Cross assisting residents. - ➤ The City of Clarksville is offering free recycling for fresh-cut Christmas trees and wreaths at Heritage Park (1241 Peachers Mill Road) from Dec. 26 to Jan. 5. - ➤ A section of highway outside Manna Cafe was renamed Kenny York Memorial Way during a recent breakfast event honoring the late founder, as Mayor Joe Pitts praised the cafe's work serving thousands of families in our community—marking a heartfelt tribute to his legacy. Clarksville Online
