- ➤ A new 200-acre industrial park with 14 buildings and 2.1 million square feet of space is under construction on Gurthrie Highway in Clarksville. The first phase includes four buildings totaling nearly 550,000 square feet and is planned next to the LG Chem plant — Hamilton Development broke ground to support the region’s growing industrial market. - ➤ The TVA is steadily converting the old Cumberland Fossil Plant southwest of Clarksville into a new natural gas facility that will produce 1,450 megawatts of power. - ➤ Tuesday evening, the Clarksville-Montgomery County School Board unanimously approved resolutions backing proposals from TriStar Health and Ascension Saint Thomas to build full-service hospitals in Clarksville—aiming to address the region’s growing need for healthcare.
