- ➤ A new 200-acre industrial park with 14 buildings and 2.1 million square feet of space is under construction on Gurthrie Highway in Clarksville. - ➤ The TVA is steadily converting the old Cumberland Fossil Plant southwest of Clarksville into a new natural gas facility that will produce 1,450 megawatts of power. - ➤ Tuesday evening, the Clarksville-Montgomery County School Board unanimously approved resolutions backing proposals from TriStar Health and Ascension Saint Thomas to build full-service hospitals in Clarksville—aiming to address the region’s growing need for healthcare.
